What really matters is the swing voters and their perceptions. I was at one point registered Democrat, changed to Independent, now vote and fund Republicans but am not yet changing my voter registration. Aside from abortion, I can’t think of a single Democratic policy agenda that would make up for: Masks on kids - my youngest is having social issues due to this CRT/obsession with race - look at the MCPS race survey among other examples Removal of merit based education - my oldest is a top scorer and is telling me how the kids she’s with aren’t that smart, so I explained the lottery to her Trans rights = those of women - I will never support this in sports or otherwise, you might as well end women’s sports if you do Obsession with “Karens” - misogyny Obsession with race but only African Americans - none cares about Asian, middle eastern, Hispanic ….. Failure to tax billionaires - republicans won’t do this either but the Democrats only pay lip service Hatred of white people - no, I’m not voting for a party full of educated whites who are obsessed with navel grazing about their privilege It is quite telling that someone keeps posting about the insurrection on this thread when I’m not voting for a party that supported race based riots and looting for weeks across major US cities.
It's so weird to me when so called former Democrats parrot all the talking points of Fox et al (hatred of white people??). Like it almost seems like a talking point now (I was a Democrat and then I saw the light and found the GOP!). It just seems odd because if you were ever a Democrat, how can you support the GOP in its current state? By the way, I am an unhappy Democrat. But I will be damned if I don't think the GOP has lots its marbles/is even worse.
Yeah that’s the problem - they’re both problematic. Ugh. I’m trying to vote on people now not parties. I am smarter than a sample ballot
