But back to the topic at hand, I'd rank OLV first choice, Little Flower #2, HT far #3.
How would you rank them against nearby MCPS, FCPS, APS schools?
NP here. I have friends/family at all schools listed above. This is how I would rank - 1) HT 2) APS 3) LF 4) FCPS 5) OLV 6) MCPS (only ranked last because of the large class sizes)
scratching my head on HT as #1. Not known for great academics or facilities, or a welcoming community. Super location and church overall, but as a school…. Meh.
Another vote for OLV. Great academics, diverse and welcoming to new families. The facilities are not great.
The facilities are horrible at OLV. The kids play in a parking lot. There literally is no playground at all.
Bad facilities but great school. Great families, strong academics, caring faculty. We took our 4 out after a certain point bc of the facilities but all got into a Big 3 straight from OLV and thrived. They were well prepared to do handle the “best” schools. (And to get in with no hooks and in off transfer years.). With better facilities, we might not have left.
