This.  The issues OP listed are real.  I believed he would elevate the US again in the world.  He hasn't.  I can't blame him for Covid because it is a problem in evolution and we are only able to react.  The border is an issue.  I have looked at the numbers and it is a real issue and hasn't improved at all since he took office.  The numbers don't lie.  I am also disappointed by the lack of the feeling of leadership.  I can't quite describe that but with every prior president in my memory, I knew their priorities and saw how their worldview and plan for out country flowed out through their staff.  I don't see that at all. He doesn't seem to lead or take responsibility for the way things are going or the impact of his decisions.  Jen Psaki said yesterday that the people at the border don't plan to stay long.  That is just a ridiculous statement.  I feel like Mayorkas has been told to just say "the border is closed" and that is all he has by way of direction from the WH.  I don't think he can explain a plan because he hasn't been given enough guidance to develop one.  And with prior presidents, the role of the VP has varied but they were present.  Harris has virtually disappeared even though she was identified as point person on a number of issues.  She is never visible.  It feels like the ship is just moving through the ocean on autopilot because the pilot isn't giving direction. Meanwhile bad stuff is happening but the ship doesn't change course.  It is a very uncomfortable feeling.[/quote]

DP.  I couldn't agree more.  Biden/Harris strike me as impersonators of a president and vice-president.  Biden is only allowed to take scripted questions - if that.  Harris, the "border czar" is tossing the coin at a college football game - while thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants walk into our country.  The Afghan evacuation was a complete mess.  I honestly can't wait until 2024.[/quote]

Additionally, what do you expect him to do when he does not have a filibuster proof majority in the senate??? There is only so much you can do without a cooperative legislature and we all know he does not have that.

As for Harris, you seem bizarrely bothered by the fact that she is playing a more muted role. Like, if you don't see it, it isn't happening. You believe that of everything? Since you had a sandwich for lunch, hunger and poverty don't exist?? Were you really that focused on prior Veeps? (Don't worry, i already know the answer to that question). I can't even believe you are saying he takes questions.  He sometimes tries but his mic has been cutoff countless times.  Anyway that is crazy talk.

But you are actually missing the ENTIRE point of this thread.  Leadership doesn't mean achieving everything you said you would do it.  It is being in charge, plotting the course, marshalling resources, holding people accountable, acknowledging mistakes, changing priorities as events change.  It is being a leader to the entire organization (or in this case country) even if you don't personally like or agree with certain parts (voters, states) of the organization.  It is here that Biden is failing.  People want that and gave him lots of time to telegraph it.  He is a veteran to government and his views on so many things should be mature.  He should have a strong vision and it should be clear.  And he should forge ahead.  He isn't.  People feel it.[/quote]
