This will upset the reasoning behind Gilead. I havent read the books but maybe this makes Serena turn against Gilead. [/quote] I think it is mostly the men who are sterile, but they blame the women. Remember June going to the Doctor and him telling her he could help her conceive and did it for many other Handmaid's? I suspect a lot (not all, but a lot) of the Handmaid's become pregnant by someone other than their Commanders. Serena being pregnant is a big departure from the book (as was the casting), since in the book Serena was well passed child-bearing age. Like mid-50s or older. [/quote] *past[/quote]
