No question this league is great at U11 and U12.  Best competition and travel schedule should reasonable.

U13 and above, Arlington and Loudoun second teams should provide good depth to the league.  Those are big clubs and they should compete well just as Strikers second teams do now.  Beach, SOCA,and Vienna (all first teams) should be the favorites though.  Any of those three teams would fit right in GAL if they chose to join.  Why don't they join?  Maybe because GAL isn't the draw that DA was and the competition is fine closer to home.  They aren't interested.

If I am a Metro parent, I'd much rather play ECNL-RL and be upper middle of the pack rather than have a much worse travel schedule to finish at the bottom of GAL.

If I am an FCV parent I probably don't have good options.  I already think I am too good for GAL, but ECNL won't have me.  I don't know the solution, but I'd be confused that there are good clubs and competition all around me, and yet I found myself in a league with exactly one other local team.      [/quote]
