You are correct that there are a lot of different story lines that come and go, never to be explained further. This happens in real life, too. And, I thought, helps in getting to know the characters - loved the story about the brother's band (and yes - shows us his devotion to his family/wife!). About 7 - I completely agree. Their relationship is a mess.[/quote]
