OP thanks. Ongoing good advice. There seems to be a W&L poster on these threads. Here’s the thing, my daughter is not that into you. If we are supposed to be letting kids lead the way, mine has said: no significant Greek scene, no Southern, no alcohol and parties focused social scene. I’m not insulting W&L. I’m sure it’s alums are successful and do great things. I believe there was a recent thread on W&LL where it might be more appropriate to argue about its merits. But, this kid would be a terrible fit.
I did post about my daughter at W&L and your post regarding her preferences makes perfect sense. I never once tried to convince you to send your daughter there or to be into me(?), which is an odd comment. I just wanted to push back against the notion (made by someone else I think) that it wasn’t an academic or intellectual environment. Best of luck in your search. Your daughter sounds like she’s very together and knows what she wants. I have another going to Swarthmore next year so I’ll add my recommendation there. Checks some boxes you’ve indicated. My swattie also liked Hamilton, Haverford, and Amherst.
