To the PP mentioning Big Bird. Sesame Street was introducing the concept of diversity. It took 30+ years to get from there to today. It was a long and painful road. Thank goodness for PBS looking out for the latchkey kids that had to be home to answer the phone when mom called!

Random note. 
I liked Mitch McConnell when he first ran as a Republican, until he suggested cutting out PBS funding. My heart dropped and rage ensued. (Satire/casm)  :lol:

I wont post the terms but they were derogatory towards any race that wasn't black. :(  Not everyone. Eventually I gained a voice and shared that it made me uncomfortable and it was wrong, and it wasn't funny, to stop. It settled down, and then it stopped, eventually.

Change is hard for some things, and sometimes it is nearly impossible for imperfect humans.
