I’m saying they have absolutely nothing in common with those thugs harassing people eating dinner. And saying they do is a pathetic attempt to bestow credibility or honor on them by associating them with people who fought for this country.

If you equate “fascism” with “people I don’t like because of their politics” , then you don’t understand what fascism is.

PP you're responding to. No, I don't think that anyone who voted for Trump is a Nazi. My family survived actual fascism/actual Nazis. It's nonetheless true that

-there are actual (self-identified!) Nazis who supported Trump.
-anyone who voted for Trump, at minimum, didn't let Nazis' support for Trump stop them from voting for Trump.
-the Anti-Fa are not actual fascists, let alone a textbook example of actual fascism.
-the Trump-inspired insurrection is a textbook example of an authoritarian coup attempt.[/quote]
