Most Asian Americans would trade places with Black people?? Why do white folks think they can speak for all Asian people??? This is the most insane thing I've read in a long time. I'm Black, noone wants to trade places. You're insane.
Your automatic assumption that the PP was posted by "white folks" as opposed to by "Asian American" shows exactly the point I was making - Asians are invisible, dismissed, ignored, deemed not worthy of even a moment of attention. How can we try to improve the issues facing Asian Americans if the media ignores them and won't bother to cover them, politicians are too busy pandering to blacks only and your average Americans do the exact same thing. Of course many Asians would trade places with Blacks; at least hard work/study will definitely pay off (college, graduate/professional schools' admission, employment preferences INSTEAD of discrimination against Asians) and any discriminations and hate crimes WILL garner attention of media/politicians. Oh and I am Asian American not white folks.
