It's not just the pandemic and schools that are temporarily closed (although we're in DC and Washington Teachers Union seems like they never want to return to work). For us, we no longer have confidence in DCPS because of WTU and the mayor's lack of willingness to reopen schools anyway. It's showed us how dysfunctional the school system is due to the entrenched teachers and politics. There are also other benefits such as VA state colleges/in-state tuition, better high school, etc. For some of us, the pandemic showed us how bad DCPS is and we can't unsee that.[/quote]
