Why prioritize us and give us the vaccine when they can just not do that and still demand we go back in. I don’t think anybody wants to actually treat us like essential workers they just expect us to act like ones anyway.

This exchange is the heart of the matter. Teachers aren't respected as BOTH highly educated professionals whose lives matter AND who are essential to society. Just read any thread here on DCUM.
