Could a young teen really commit a murder that violent? I tend to think he’s covering for his dad, in the same way he didn’t tell his mom when he saw his dad with Elena at school. I think he desperately wants his father’s approval and part of that means covering for him.

Also, was Jonathan’s mother correct in her assessment of his behavior after his sister was killed? Was/is he truly a sociopath or was he so deeply traumatized that he couldn’t speak about the incident? He certainly seemed appropriately upset about it when he confessed to Grace, but did he just learn to act appropriately over the years the way many sociopaths do?[/quote]
