No reason for most kids.  Special Ed is a different category and their needs are different.  FARMS is a nutritional program and [b]ESOL can be taught through DL[/b].   I would rather have MCPS community alive and well first.  This means kids, teachers and staff - and their families.   We have to adapt and we can absolutely do DL with the support of MCPS and families.  The problem is that MCPS is doing what it can do and it is giving everyone the same service.  It is the parents who are unwilling to do their part and make sure that kids are learning.

Unless you taught ESOL last quarter and had 100 percent participation, you have no idea what you are talking about. Average participation was 25 percent and that’s being generous. DL ESOL was a flop. [/quote]

Kids not attending school is the same as kids not attending DL. It’s the responsibility of the parents. You people love to blame everything on teachers don’t you?  Prior to COVID-19, if a kid doesn’t show up to the bus stop or go to school, did you also blame the teachers?[/quote]
