Agree. Much closer to the mark than the $220k poster. And I work in US Card. I wonder if salaries have come down, or if that poster was just talking out of their ass.

Most of my colleagues are hardworking and motivated, but some coast by and do the bare minimum and still get regular promotions every few years because they have “influence” (i.e., they know the right people and they’ve landed in a nice cushy role). Others like me work hard for every rating and promotion they get. Of course, I’ve had my days when I’ve slacked off and done nothing all day. OTOH, I’ve had weeks where I worked nights and weekends. Overall it averages out to 45 hours a week, I’d say.[/quote]

US cards is the only division I have seen with some decent work getting done but have a lot of slackers too. Company supplies, work trips, dinner/hotel bills etc are also very easy to get approved at Card division. I am seeing a little belt tightening though and they need to cut the waste. [/quote]
