https://www.justsecurity.org/70497/far-right-infiltrators-and-agitators-in-george-floyd-protests-indicators-of-white-supremacists/
The article states that most of the protesters in Minneapolis were from out of state - that was debunked and the major admitted it wasn’t true. Please get your facts straight.
I'm on the ground in Minnesota, and have this happening in real time on my streets. Your criticism of the article is such a tertiary point to the discussion, and Matthew Rupert was just charged with federal rioting here and he is from....Illinois. So yeah, information changing rapidly, but doesn't negate the value of examining who is sowing chaos and why. The article was written on May 30 by a terrorism scholar and yes many things have changed since then. I think you missed the broader point. Still worth a read.
Did you see Rupert's FB? He's not right wing. Most of the protesters is not all of the protesters.
I was pointing out that he was from out of state in response to the poster saying that was debunked. Made no claim to him being associated with any group. The truth is always the grey middle in these fast changing situations.
NP, not always. Sometimes. Sometimes there is only one side that is right. One that is wrong. In Nazi Germany, the “Hitler Train” came. There was no middle, even though there were plenty who argued it. There Is no gray area for child pornography and human trafficking, and human slavery. Trafficking is literally modern day slavery of the highest order. Sometimes there is a grey middle. But often the situations are “fast changing” because it’s very black and white.
I'm not talking about what's morally right. I'm talking about who is participating. Plenty of people wanted to blame Protestants vs. Catholics, proletariat vs. privileged in placing blame for joining Nazi party. Turned out it was a catch all party of protest, but to your point, those people who joined were all crappy humans who empowered sheer evil. My point is that here in Minnesota there are people out of state and in state, including many from out state (a term we use meaning not from the Cities but from Minnesota) who came to sow havoc. They aren't all white supremacists, but there sure as heck are a lot of those, and I've seen them all over Highland Park St. Paul. And the whole issue of looting cannot be examined without acknowledging that white culture has always placed property above black lives. It doesn't make you a riot apologist to examine that moral failing on our part.
PP here, and I agree, and I very much appreciate your further clarification here. Thanks.
