I would agree with this poster.  My sister and I went to a not so great high school. Only 10% of the kids in my graduating class went to college.  My sister and I were both smart and there was huge value in learning to work with and get along with those form different racial and socio economically backgrounds.  This skill set has served both of us well in our careers.[/quote]

Not really.  Roughly 30% of FCPS is economically disadvantaged. Please name a highly-rated school that approximates this percentage.  Certainly not McLean.  
Marshall probably comes closest, but even there only 17% of students are FARMs.
