If you move to Vienna, there's no way you'll meet up with friends in DC more than every few months. My best friend moved out to one of those kind of places in Virginia and I haven't seen her for several months. It's at least an hour each way, so there's no ability to make spontaneous plans to meet up. And with babies or toddlers it's even more challenging unless you're okay with them falling asleep in the car. Once they are out of car seats it will be impossible to do that on weeknights and your weekends will be filled with house care and local kid activities. You may as well live in Richmond if you're going to be that far from the District. [/quote]
