I have a soft spot for them too.  I'm not a royal watcher (really!) but I heard about them and learned about them and just kind of like them.  They seem, dare I say, somewhat normal?  No scandal, no gossip, just a normal couple who seem to be sensible and raising nice kids.  Danish people in general seem to be sensible.  [/quote]

+1 - she learned Danish SO quickly and it really endeared her to the Danish people. Compared with Princess Charlene of Monaco who refuses to learn French and always looks like she has one step out the door. Queen Maxima is Argentinian and also learned Dutch very quickly![/quote]
