Again, I posted that the Orthodox Jews should be ashamed of themselves if they don't stay home. I apologized for being wrong about the Pope.

My question was derived from the news articles about churches that have remained open. I know they aren't Catholic Churches, but I simply suggested the Pope--as an authority for millions of people--should issue guidance. I'm glad he did.

The pope is only an authority for Catholics. Protestant, Orthodox, and other "quasi-Christian sects" (e.g. Mormon) do not consider him their leader. Evangelicals are the ones still holding services this Easter. Maybe because evangelical denominations are more independent than Catholics, non-evangelical protestants, etc. For most you dont need a degree to become a pastor just a calling. [/quote]
