Yes.

He can give up legal custody. He can not terminate his parental responsibility to pay child support.

The only exception is if the mom wants another man - like a husband or boyfriend to adopt the baby. Then the father can completely terminate his rights/responsibilities. However, that only happens if the mom has someone else willing to adopt the baby which is highly unlikely with a teen mom.[/quote]

This is not true.   A mother can not put the child up for adoption against the father's will.   There have been court cases where the mother tried to do this (never named the father) and years later the father finds out he has a child that has been adopted.   In some of these cases the father has gone to court to get custody of the child and the child is taken away from the adoptive family.  [/quote]
