My child has a severe dog allergy (not exagerating--when your child has to go to the ER with a swollen face when a dog passed by within 10 feet). Anyway, we are a dog free house. DD does allergy shots and is constantly on allegra and singulair (because you cannot avoid dogs all the time everywhere). Anyway, no dogs of any kind, for any reason are allowed in my house. If someone shows up with a dog they cannot come in--HARD STOP. My childs health is more important than someone pet (and before you start up, I am a dog lover and always have been).
Omg PP that sounds horrific, I'm so sorry! I'm assuming that she can't go to playgrounds either, as folks constantly bring their dogs on & around the equipment all day? I know people take their emotional support & aid dogs on flights all the time, do you know if they have to pre-register or somehow inform the airline that they'll have a dog on board (so you can avoid that flight) or can someone simply board with a dog as long as their carrier fits under the seat in front of them? I cannot imagine the level of high alert you have to constantly be on ANY time you leave your home for ANY reason. :( ( hugs) to you & your sweet daughter.
