Thank you to the last poster for proving my point. The first female [u]Captain[/u] Marvel was Monica, and no one was outraged when she was portrayed as a white woman in film. Just saying. No one is ever outraged enough to create petitions when the roles are reversed although the God's of Egypt outrage came close, rightfully so.[/quote]
The current Ms. Marvel (in comics and a new TV series) is Kamala Khan, so I wonder if Marvel just didn’t want to confuse current readers? Or maybe it’s a conflict between Marvel films and Marvel TV (why we didn’t see Luke Cage or Jessica Jones in any of the movies).
