I'm not sure exactly. We've had periodic conversations about our sex frequency being not what I wanted. But those never really went anywhere, so I it'd probably been 6 months to a year since that kind of conversation. I also pretty rarely initiate since I get shot down probably 80% of the time. So, we wait until she's in the mood and/or it occurs to her with the result being we have sex about every 3-6 weeks.Last week, out of nowhere from my perspective, she said that for the next month, if I initiate, she wouldn't turn me down. But, then she proceeded to initiate. Two days later, she initiated again. Both of those times were good for her. Two days later, I initiated. I don't think that time was that great for her, so (trying not to venture into explicit territory here), I asked if I could help her finish. She said no. She then went and took a shower. Apparently happier with her state of hygiene, she invited me to finish her off which I happily did. (I'm counting that as twice that day.)

This has been a novelty. We're approaching 50 and I think something like once or twice a week would be a perfect pace for me. I don't expect this pace to last, but just the fact that she is making the effort unprompted means the world to me. [/quote]
