I’d like to counter this. Kate (and likely her family) quite pointedly CHOSE this life, early on. She had more than 20 years in this game. She took a year off from working before their wedding to learn the game. She has less flexibility, I think, in what is tolerated from her, as she will be the queen consort one day.

There's also the fact that in addition to public funds, William's foundation is underwater by the tune of 1.5 million pounds. Guess who's going to bail him out?

Charles, the actual Prince of Wales, has been in charge of the budget of his trust for over 40 years. So yes, I do. It's called being a responsible steward.

And someone will bail William out because he uses that money to do his annual events, press calls for charities, and galas. If he was PoW already he could just take from the Duchy of Cornwall funds but since Wills still gets an allowance from daddy, it'll be Charles.[/quote]
