Look if you can’t even start on a DA or ECNL club team, who would ever expect to play D1 soccer? No college coach is that desperate. They are watching the starters. Let’s be real here.
Ok. Let's be real here. This is information is not a secret and easily found on the internet. Look at BDA and GDA teams and their college commitments. Many of them around the country have D1 soccer commitments for many more than the starters. Bethesda BDA is an easy one to research for class of 2019. Here, I will do the work for you so you can stop showing everyone your ignorance. https://www.bethesdasoccer.org/?page_id=1712 So that is the BDA. Below is Tophat for the GDA. I count 16 commits for the oldest team and another 13 for the U16/17 team and I believe they are all D1 but I am not positive. It is probably safe assumption that the U16/U17 team number will grow before those players age out. https://www.instagram.com/p/BxuxYMjgkWB/?igshid=tnmfus7vslzb The GDA is still only in year 2 and with the oldest age groups (U16, U17, U18 and U19), ECNL is still riding the success that came before the GDA was launched. Anything younger than that, the GDA is far superior in the concentration of talent and that is what matters to scouts - they cannot be in more than one place at a time. For the GDA, the fact remains that player number 15 on a strong DA team is most likely a stronger player than player number 5 on any ECNL team except for a few exceptional ECNL clubs that left the GDA for money and control (PDA is one example) in the eyes of a college scout. In our area, FCV and BA are the two GDAs that seem to be separating themselves from the pack. Arlington's long-term strength in the GDA is TBD but Arlington is a large and well-run club. MU is a mess and right now the only GDA in the area that is not above the local ECNL teams in terms of concentration of talent. For U15 and younger, unless you are commuting to PDA, or you are the parent of an absolute superstar ECNL player, let's get real here - many subs on a top-level GDA team are indeed playing D1 soccer.
