God some of you are just unbearable.  not only are my kids vaccinated but I am  an adult who just recently did all of her boosters.

and I completely agree with the other poster. This is a moot point. You are surrounded daily by kids who aren't vaccinated for a variety of reasons. And you probably don't know it. I'm not sure why you would attack what is a truthful statement.

Seriously. There are going to be kids at your school who are not vaccinated. Some for medical reasons some because their parents opted out. You have no clue who those kids are. Do you go to religious services? Are your kids in extra curricular activities?

I hear you and totally get what you're saying - but what about when you KNOW that your kid is in close contact with unvaccinated kids (during a measles outbreak)?  That is what this OP is asking about.  She has a family event bringing her baby in close contact to unvaccinated kids and she knows it - so what does she do?[/quote]

If my kid was vaccinated, I would attend. If my kid was not vaccinated and it was in an area with an out break, I wouldn’t attend.

Yes, there are measel outbreaks right now but they are in very specific areas. They have been well advertised. So if my family was from one of those areas or had travelled to one of those areas, I would avoid them. But if they hadn’t, then I would be fine with being around them.

But you can’t ask where everyone on a plane has been before you get on. You can’t check where everyone in your office space, school, or metro has been. It is a risk that we live with. You can choose to not take a fully vaccinated child out in public for safety purposes or you can make an informed choice and accept the small degree of risk. [/quote]
