Should we talk about the fact at least one club (maybe more) teams played older players with a younger age group at ASIST. Total bummer for the teams who played by the rules.
How would you know that? With that age group you would have kids growing at different paces so unless you knew the kid playing down, this is just a sore looser comment.
Kids have big mouths. Its hard for them to keep thing under wraps.
It's also really hard to commit age fraud at a reputable tournament. Need valid documentation (birth cert) to get player card. Player cards are checked before each game. Have seen and heard this allegation made many times and its almost always complete BS. Some kids are just big for their age. The only time I've seen it happen is when teams have players arrive "late" after the game already started and the ref doesn't notice so they end up playing even though their cards haven't been checked. This when the opposing team's coach and/or manager needs to speak up. But in this case, I'm calling BS and sour grapes. I think you just saw your kid's team get beat by a team with some bigger kids on it and you're making excuses. You have no real basis to accuse them of cheating and you know it, which is why you refuse to give specifics. Either name the team you claim did this or STFU about it.
