You're missing the point.  Arnault's fortune places him at the very top of the world. His family owns the fashion business.  Depend upon it that he could get any girl he wanted, from anywhere at all. And he could certainly get a rich supermodel without three kids! Or just a rich girl without any kids. A new one every day!

The kind of man a supermodel can attract - titled Englishmen, wealthy Frenchmen - is [i]totally irrelevant[/i] to the situation of the average single mom, who could not get a man like that even if she had NO kids. "Arnault chose a single mom" says [i]absolutely nothing[/i] about the options of single moms who read DCUM.[/quote]

There are tons of supermodels without kids, you know. Younger than Vodianova. Prettier too. Richer. From better families. They were all options to him. Certainly the son of a man who runs LVMH can churn through supermodels at a good clip!

No, a single mom reader of DCUM won't get an Arnault-caliber man, and no one said that she could.  But she may well attract her peer man who may well prefer her to his other options. Point is, single moms are sometimes chosen over others even by men who have ostensibly better options. [/quote]
