+1 also shocked. Carleton grads get a lot of PhDs. And show up in abundance everywhere that PhDs are common.

I guess you can be shocked,  but I'm just reporting my own experience. I know lots and lots of people in dc, particularly in the policy/ political/ foreign policy world,  and can't recall ever coming across a Carleton grad-- and I do a fair amount of hiring,  especially over the past decade. I have nothing against the school,  just saying that I know zip about it,  while knowing lots about other top slacs.[/quote]
