There needs to be more options for health insurance Obamacare actually increased insurance costs for many people because it covers stuff that many people need Health Insurance should be more like Auto Insurance you select the level of coverage you actually need As far as preexisting conditions are concerned all the bills never kicked people off as long as they didn't have a lapse in coverage of more than I think 6 months which makes sense and solves the free rider problem
This is such an awful comparison. What happens when you get cancer, but you bought cheap "coverage" that doesn't include cancer? Either you die in misery (I don't want to live in a country like that....especially when we are the richest country in the world) or you leave the hospital/doctors to eat the cost of your care and they pass along those costs to me (the scenario being proposed by the GOP)? How about we just make it a statutory requirement that all plans cover cancer? That makes it cheaper for everyone in the long run.
Or you go to an experimental program at NIH, a university hospital, or cancer research center. The best care is there
Right, because they accept everyone. Better plan: Thoughts and prayers. Free and it works if God likes you.
You sound a bit thick to think that thoughts and prayers cure cancer. It is not easy to get into these programs but if you have no health problems nsurance civetage, jyiur chances of getting on increase greatly. If your children have cancer, St Jude’s will take them or refer them to an affiliated program. Obviously, this is not ideal. But you don’t have to dine in misery from cancer as another poster suggested. There are other ways to obtain treatment. The people who are breaking the system are those who smoke, drink, and eat to excess. You can offer many of these addictive personalities programs to stop all thre, and they do nothing until diagnosed with lung cancer, liver failure, or suffer a heart attack. Then they demand top quality care.
OP here. Pp I will assume that you mean well and are just completely oblivious. Relying on charity and experiments to provide healthcare in a nation of 300 million people is absurd on its face. Please stop embarrassing yourself.
Your inability to read us the embarrassment. I specifically said that tell my on charity was not ideal. But it was one way not to die in misery from cancer as another poster suggested. Obviously, among 30@ million people, many will be coveted by health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, or afford private pay. If you have none of these and have cancer , why wouldn’t you seek help through a charity or research or teaching institution.
Not ideal? More like not worth typing, like everything else you wrote (including your inability to register pp’s blatant sarcasm).
