Basically she looks like she should be dating George Clooney or Tom Cruise (if he was taller than her) and he looks like he should be dating Demi Lovato or Ariana Grande.

He even dresses like Ariana's fiancee -

I think you are spot on.  He looks like a kid she's babysitting for the day.  The pair is just odd.

I'm sure he's probably nice and maybe she looks past his childish dress style because of this but seriously just looking at them together is awkward.
