PP, you should still vote for Frick if you believe him to be the best candidate, as I do. Please do not be swayed just because someone has deep pockets. A rich person without political experience should not be elected for an office like this. And if he does not win the primary, he should be throwing a pile of his money to help Frick or whomever win.
Don’t be an idiot - a vote for Frick is a vote for Elrich
Again, can you point us to some reliable polls?
There are no big polls for this race, as is typical for such local races. However, based on various recent articles on this subject that have been posted in Washington Post, Bethesda Beat, WAMU and other local sources that I've seen, the thing I keep hearing is that people think this is a two-man race between Elrich and Blair. There's an article in Bethesda Beat posted today that said they asked about a dozen people at early polling sites who they voted for and most said Elrich or Blair, with a few for Krasnow. Yes, a dozen responses is not a real poll, but it does back up what I've seen in other reports. And its just common sense really. Most people are just not going to dig too deep into local election matters. The fact that the WaPo endorsed Blair will be enough for lots of folks to vote for him. And Elrich captures the union and ultra-left vote. So its between those two. Vote for who you want but the fact is, the only person who has a real chance of beating Elrich is Blair and I think most people know that. He wasn't my first choice either but I think he's fine and I'm a pragmatist. But there are too many damn democrats who childishly insist on voting for the person they like best even when that person has zero chance of winning. That's why we end up with W for 2 terms and f*cking DJT (probably for 2 terms as well because whichever Dem gets nominated in 2020 will not be "pure" enough).
So basically we have some people-- most likely Blair supporters-- claiming it's a two man race and any other vote is wasted when there is absolutley nothing to support that except a vague reference to something read in a Bethesda Beat article? I still think the people voting in a primary election in an off year election are mostly going to take some time to think about who to vote for and most of them aren't going to want to vote for an ex-Republican who can't be bothered to vote-- just because he has no record in politics doesn't mean he doesn't have a questionable record.
