If you don't get the historical reference to an African-American woman as an ape as compared to a comparison of orange hair, then I get why you don't understand racism. That Roseanne apologized indicates she knows she was wrong. The outrage by people of all stripes who understand racism is justified. The only people are excusing it are people like you.
