This is insane. She's a grown woman. She sings about sexuality in a way that is empowering for women. I mean, are you some weirdo who has sex through a hole in a sheet and clutches your pearls about Madonna, Britney, Gaga, Alanis, Prince, Cyndi, and basically every other frickin pop star? Do you realize sex is part of life? Are you seriously trying to blame Beyonce for the hypersexualization of black girls? WTF is wrong with you?

She has used her power to shed light on issues of racism and sexism and is contributing a rich volume of work to our culture. You don't have to like it, but your criticism is mindless.

Beyonce is singing this song about giving head to her husband. Not some random man. 
Her husband. 
In a limo on their way to a club appearance for show. 
Her husband.
She is a wife, singing about the good, the bad, and the ugly in her marriage. 
There are worse things people can do than refer to their marital sex life.

Well, I parent. 
So I regulate what my child listens to and don't scream at internet strangers for their paragraph of opinions.

My daughter's restriction from explicit lyrics doesn't have anything to do with my point.

The argument that lyrics of a performer mean they aren't a role model?
I'm over it.

Most entertainers have something questionable in their performance, at some point or another. One painting of an artist doesn't define their work.
One song doesn't define an artist.

Beyonce has designed clothes, acted, and performed. She is hood, but don't call her skanky when she is no more risque than Madonna was in her day.

I watch Denzel Washington, and I don't let my child watch American Gangster. And would have no issue with him being at the WH.
I love Halle Berry, and remember her having sex with Billy Bob Thornton in Monster's Ball and playing a crack head in Jungle Fever with Wesley Snipes. No issue with her being a role model.

By the way, I wouldn't let my child watch that either.

You are throwing all of her good out because of a few controversial lyrics - which - again - are about her husband.
Not popping molly, which is something that MIley Cyrus actually did come out and sing about - to her teen disney followers.

Give me a break.
