If someone else lives in the home, you have to report it and you have to present a signed statement by them that they purchase their food separately.
Really? When I was younger I had roommates and we all shared a house. One of my roommates had a boyfriend share the house. Do not have to count their income unless married.
You guys. Stop it. There are several "if/then" situations regarding who must be included in the assistance group. I'm not going to detail each one one here. But here's a basic idea. The people included in the assistance group are those who purchase and prepare your meals together. This is true even if you're not married. If, when you're shopping, you're buying food for your boyfriend (like most couples do), then he is included. You must include his income. He can be excluded if the two of you generally buy your own food (like most roommate situations). If your boyfriend is the father of the minor children who are in the home, then he is included. If you are married to the man, he is included, regardless of whether he's the father of the children. There are more rules. If a situation applied to you once, it may or may not apply to everyone else in the country.
