It's not necessarily what people consciously tell themselves. It is SO completely obvious that race is a huge factor -- you have to be in major denial not to see it, or have an extremely simplistic view of the intersectionality of race and economics in DC. Yes I know that middle class white parents don't view themselves as racist. [/quote]
