A bit deranged?  It sounds like a fucking House of Horrors!  Kevin Spacey never stood a chance to be other than a very damaged man, if the allegations of his childhood are true.  And the apple did not fall far from the tree if that is the case.  So while I do have empathy for the incredibly abused child and the irreparably damaged man he became, that does not excuse any abuse he [i]may[/i] have passed along to others.     [/quote]

Most abused kids don't go on to abuse others.  So as horrible as his upbringing was, it doesn't excuse his actions against a minor.

He denied being gay for years, so this is not about choosing to live as a gay man.

Lastly rape is about power not sex.  Straight or gay--it's about power.[/quote]
