Yes, it is different: children are allowed in restaurants because children are people.  Your dog is not a person.  Home Depot is not a dog park or vet's office: many people who are allergic to dogs, or just don't like them, need to go to Home Depot for the same home essentials you need, [b]and your desire to "socialize" your dog does not trump their discomfort at having your animal inflicted on them[/b].  It is weird and selfish to take your dog to Home Depot, and I can assure you that many people who see you there are thinking this.  Taking your dog to Home Depot is so selfish and entitled.

NP. You are a really weird person. Have you expressed your clearly extreme anger about this to Home Depot? Stores make intentional choices to make this policy. If a store says, 'hey dogs are welcome' and people then bring dogs and you then hate the store then your problem is with the store, not the person who researched places that were acceptable for dogs and chose responsibly.[/quote]
