I agree with all you've said and to add- doesn't always show up in birth sign.  For example, I have to learn to make money in this lifetime, and I have past karmic debts associated with that.  That was only revealed to me by looking at the rest of my birth chart, as all the houses have different meanings, and you are looking to see patterns and to see which houses planets are distributed in, which planets have conjunctions or oppositions, etc.  It all can seem very complicated and incomprehensible at first but when you learn it it becomes fairly easy to read and see those patterns![/quote]
