My commute involves walking to my home office, shower optional. I'm most definitely not jealous that you take the metro daily-LOL!

The train takes exactly 18min from TS to GP, so why is it demeaning that I assume you live in the tunnel? When i take the metro (i live in Chevy Chase a stones throw from Friendship Heights metro), i still have to walk to the metro, get in the station and wait for the train.  I then have to get off the train, out of the station and walk to my destination.[/quote]

As I said before- people have a way of selectively clocking their commute time.  yeah, if I only count the time literally on a metro train, my commute is only 15 minutes.[/quote] My commite via subway from Takoma to GP is 16 mins according to Google maps. I live less than a 2 minute walk from the station and work a half block from GP.  On a really bad day it takes 20 minutes., but 18 seems right when I hustle :p[/quote]

Amazing that metro is so timely that you can literally walk out of your apartment (well sprint really) and end up on the platform in 120 seconds just as the doors open.[/quote] Hardly, I just used  this magical thing called google maps to plan my commute. You should check it out. [/quote]
