Everyone is talking about bikinis vs. one pieces and comfort, etc. as if they are the only two options. Doesn't anyone wear a tankini? That's pretty much all I see at the pool and beach all summer on moms and women over 35 or so, no matter wear I go.
No they look goofy, own or don't, just don't try and walk an awkward line.
Really? I just can't see how they look goofy. It's like a tank top and bathing suit bottom. I feel like most people look fine in them. Huh.
They bring attention to the fact that you are trying to cover something up. It is all about your comfort level though.
FYI my tankini over laps so its the best of both words for comfort for those ladies uncomfy with their tummies showing at all, but also its easier to get in and out of, its not pulling down on my chest via my crotch, etc.
+1. Plus, aren't all clothes an attempt "to cover something up"? It's not like the tankini really hides fat -- if you're fat, it's just going to bulge out. But it does really cut down on the amount of sunscreen you need to slather on. I recently discovered rash guards and I am soooo thrilled with them. I barely need any sunscreen now! yay!
