Disagree with your initial assertion.  I am a female who won't go jogging in DC with headphones on at night. Am I blaming myself for my possible victimhood? Or maybe some things are just a good idea.

NP -  yes, most of us women operate on the "rape schedule", that's not the point though. Once a woman is attacked, you do not - or should not - start asking whether or not she was jogging at night, with headphones, etc. You should not start saying things, "if only she hadn't worn such a tight shirt."

And by the way, most rapes are aqcuainatance rapes, not scary-man-in-the-bushes-rape, but even stranger rapes happen during the day.

There is no reasonable discussion here that includes the sentence "well if only Comet hadn't...." This was a crazy lie believed by crazy people. Those who do not denounce it and who try to accommodate the crazy are just making it worse by validating it. End of story. [/quote]
