Apparently the company was run by her brother Eric Lively who had declared bankruptcy a few years earlier and had no qualifications to be anywhere near a company. They ran it from his loft, he was a blatant alcoholic and weed smoker, and had an affair with one of the employees.

Leslie Sloan got it all buried from the press and probably would have stay buried but people know Blake is not in a powerful untouchable position and they’re coming out.

Interestingly, the beyond the blinds podcast about Blake that ran in 2021 had the same allegations and said they wouldn’t likely come out because people were afraid of Blake.

I mean I think we all knew Preserve was a huge disaster and I'm not surprised that Blake's grifter brother wound up being a terrible manager. I'm sorry those people had that bad experience but also sounds like they were compensated for it.

But also I don't quite understand what any of it has to do with the current lawsuits? Eric Lively is not on trial and the issue here isn't mismanagement of a company. Sure, this is bad press for Blake, whatever, but I just don't get what the connection is here.[/quote]

Dp. I think it’s relevant bc it shows a course of behavior by her. And it’s another reminder of how stupid this litigation was for her. Of course people were going to dig out history of her character.

I mean, it’s clearly just Freedman and co. digging up every bad thing he can, trying to get Lively to settle.  Okay. I feel bad for those people (though it does sound like they got a ton of money). It doesn’t change anything about Baldoni and this lawsuit, though. [/quote]
