How do you know he was following the tax system in place? Did he send his tax returns to you? So a billionaire paying no taxes is smart BUT the middle class paying their fair share of taxes is stupid? You are really middle class and really stupid.
The problem is the system. And, FWIW, I do not know--but with this administration the way it is, I am pretty sure that if he were doing anything illegal with them that he would be charged with that. Look what the IRS did to the Tea Party. And, today, I read the DOJ is going after Theil's company for racial discrimination. And, how can you complain about this with all the things that Hillary has done without prosecution. Now that we know that she was emailing with Obama under a pseudonym, you can be sure that she was NEVER going to be prosecuted because he would be complicit. Giving immunity to her staff is NOT usual.
Has Trump ever said he wants to change the system so that there are no tax deductions that he can take? I don't think so. In fact, he wants to reduce his overall tax rate, and keep those deductions. Neither will make him pay anymore in taxes. You are gullible.
Why exactly do you think anyone should pay more taxes? The treasury is already collecting record amounts of taxes. We don't have a tax problem in this country. We have a spending problem. Our elected officials need to stop treating our tax dollars like Monopoly money.
And that spending problem is mainly for social security, medicare, and military(75%). I am fine with scrapping Social security and medicare for the wealthy. I am fine with cutting the military budget, bringing back the US military from the middle east fighting oil wars of the past. But then the republicans don't want to do any of it. So they are no different than democrats when it comes to spending cuts. Remember Reagan said "Deficits dont matter". So why do you care?
What do you consider wealthy? Medicare part B already penalizes "the wealthy" which is anything over 85k single and 170k married. Very simple broad income ranges. Just like income tax. More brackets are needed and more recognition/benefits for those in high cola areas. 1986 had up to 15 brackets and 1978 had over 25. ACA BC/BS opts out in NE http://www.omaha.com/livewellnebraska/health/blue-cross-blue-shield-out-of-nebraska-s-obamacare-marketplace/article_ba159306-81b9-11e6-a263-039caebdcf91.html Note people join - get expensive treatment-then drop the coverage! What next? Sign up for flood insurance as the water pours in and then cancel after collecting? Note there is also a govt program that needs reform. More zones.
