I don't think she died right away. Seems the perps were trying to get attention with the ransom notes but they weren't taken seriously early on, which explains why they started sending more to multiple outlets. There was no payment on Thursday because there had been no proof of life (maybe she'd died at that point).[/quote]

Or because they are scammers, they don’t actually have her and these letters without a way to contact the kidnappers or pay them are fake.

How are they supposed to pay if they have no way to direct the money or receive the victim?

The arrested scammer was the one with the account not the “actual” letters now.[/quote]
