He is not legally required to do so, my precious. He said today that he waited for Trump to talk about it first, which implies Garland would not have spoken if Trump had kept his mouth shut - it is the policy of DOJ to say as little as possible about active investigations as possible. But given Trump had his little whine-fest, and triggered morons like you, Garland decided he could give a presser. You'll notice that true to DOJ policy, he gave as little info as humanely possible.

And when YOU run afoul of the law, he will offer you the same courtesy.
