We don't have a neighborhood pool though many have built pools in their backyards.  I mentioned a community center with a pool because I don't think many lots would accommodate a backyard pool in Mt. Prospect.  That being said, residents would then have to join a private club as an added expense.[/quote]
I haven’t seen decent older homes over 5000 sq feet for under 1.3M...add in 300k to redo it and you may as well buy new. I understand others may feel differently, but the appeal of new over used is worth the extra cost to me[/quote]
