Langley doesn’t nearly have enough depth to compete with teams like indy. IMHO indy wins the state. Langley is the most over hyped team i’ve heard of, they do not have anyone on defense that can hang with some of these talented 6a offenses.
Indy was lucky last year. They beat Riverside by 1 goal after getting boat raced by Riverside during the season. They lost their 2 best players but have the big kid back. Langley and Robinson are both much better than Indy.
Get Langley out of the damn conversation, they are OUT with no Milone! Robo Indy Madison Battlefield Yorktown possibly Cosby those are the only teams that have a shot at a ring this year
Not seeing much about West Potomac on the board this season. Did they lose that much after their title last year?
They did lose a lot... Last year they had 5 offensive Studs, including their State POTY - Grant Maloney (Who's starting at Jacksonville as a true freshman). They ended up graduating 4/5 of those guys. They also had a 1st team all State close defender and a 1st team all region fogo who both graduated. The only main guy from last year's team they are Returning is senior attackmen Sean Kovalsky. He is legit, but hard to go back to back with a one man show. Despite all West Po lost from last year, they absolutely still have a shot to make states again. It seems like Robinson is just about a lock to be the 1 seed out of Region C. West Po will be in a 3 headed race between themselves, Woodson, and Lake Braddock to be the 2 seed in Region C / the other spot in states. From what I am hearing, all three of those teams (West Po, Woodson, & LB) are looking competitive this spring and could be ranked anywhere from #7 - #10 in the state IMO. However, whichever of those three teams secures the other spot in the state tournament out of region C, they will most likely be 1 & done and won't be a real "contender" to win a ring in 2026.
