Sad shameful and despicable Here's your option. Don't accept an invitation from DCU if offered and or just take your kid to Philly or NEW York if they'll have him. Seems much simpler than this pitiful display
I mean that is what players are doing, trying to not be scouted by DCU and focusing on getting into an academy somewhere else.
Yes, we should believe you that all the good players and their families in the DMV area that are MLS academy level talent are seeking avenues outside the area. You're so focused on this crap you can't even hear how ridiculous you sound.
When local kids are offered spots by outside academies, including DCU, guess which ones they go for?
If they can, they are going to places other than DCU for sure.
The ones I know have gone to Red Bulls and Philly Union. I do know one kid that had offers in other states for other academies, but ultimately went to DCU because his family didn't want to relocate and the other offers didn't offer residential so to take the offers the family would have had to move.
You're an insider expert with full working knowledge of not only everything operational behind the scenes at DC United and the Academy, but you also possess personal first hand knowledge of the thoughts, decisions and actions of all players/families who are at, have been to the academy or were recruited to the academy? (also all players in the area that are at academy level skills) Are you the Jedi of DMV soccer? Seems like a very unhealthy obsession that may require psychological and psychiatric intervention
+1,000,000 Dude needs the chair of a Psychologist big time 🤣
This person definitely called this. I don’t think they have said one thing that wasn’t proven to be true.
Correct. They called out DCU's rubbish many many posts ago and said the director was not strong.
How does they giving their opinions about the state of DCU change the fact that they have a clear and obvious unhealthy obsession with DCU, the academy, the kids there, the kids parents and all alleged top youth players in and around the DMV?
This is what you don't seem to understand. In my view from reading the posts is that all this person cares about is letting people know the truth about DCU. And not let people make uneducated decisions about the club which is happening every year. That is what they are obsessed with. And these posts have been enlightening. They don't give a crap about the academy. Clearly.
What we understand is someone has a longstanding personal axe to grind with the academy and uses this blog as an avenue to wage a toxic obsessed campaign. Misery seeking company and validation. Obviously a useless waste of their time, since it has no impact to DCU and changes nothing. Every person in this forum who's son is good enough, if selected, is going to DCUA
This gets it twisted. There is one person on this forum who has a toxic obsessed need to defend the DCUA academy by questioning peoples' motives and knowledge while not providing any facts or positive aspects of the academy. They even claim to NOT have a child in the academy, which makes it even more strange that they waste so much of their time on here in the face of example after example of why DC United's Academy is behind its peers (other MLS Academies). They also claim to know people with kids at DCUA, which make me think they're just on the outside themselves, trying to ingratiate themselves, so maybe their son will have a chance to be selected, or some other sycophantic motivation.
LOL ... it's toxic to ask the accuser for evidence of their accusations? What's this, the Twilight Zone?
Evidence is given. But no evidence exists to support an argument that DCU is a good academy. Which we have established numerous times, DCU is a terrible academy.
